About this meeting, Joan Collins said: “I couldn't believe it. She'd watched every episode. She said she was the show's biggest fan. Celine knew more about Dynasty than I did! I wanted to just praise her for her superb show and instead she was raving on about Dynasty!”

In 1994 cuddling up to her manager and fiancé, René Angélil, the singer was presented with a diamond record for ‘The Colour of My Love’ in Montreal. The album sold more than one million copies in Canada and six million copies worldwide.  

In 1994, the singer celebrated another career milestone: Selling 1 million copies of her hit single “Think Twice”from the album ‘The Colour of My Love’in the UK. The record would eventually be certified six-times platinum

Celine’s Role In Muppets Most Wanted

Celine Dion was among many of the celebrities who had roles specifically written for her before she agreed to do the film. Celine Dion's role in the 'Muppets Most Wanted' was scripted with her in mind.

The film which stars children's favourites Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Animal and Fozzy Bear among others, has a number of A-List cameo appearances, including Salma Hayek, Tom Hiddleston and Usher, and director James Bobin insists the roles were written specifically for these celebrities, before they officially agreed to appear in the film.

He said: ''Largely we write those roles in the script. Often we even write the name of the particular person. What we find, is that because there's a great love for the Muppets the people we ask tend to say yes. Which is really rare.

''It's amazing where we write a number for Piggy and we have someone to be her fairy Godmother, her spiritual advisor about love and relationships. You think who would be amazing, maybe Celine Dion, and then you phone her up and she's like 'Yeah, I'll definitely do that, no problem'. It's amazing, that never happens.''

'Muppets Most Wanted' also stars comedian Ricky Gervais, Modern Family's Ty Burrell and Tina Fey in lead roles.
