On This Day

On September 11, 2002, Celine Dion did a thrilling tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack in the previous year, performing the song "My Heart Will Go On" in the show 'Larry King Live'.

On September 11,2000, the 3rd edition of the "Classique Therese Tanguay Dion" took place at the golf club "Le Mirage". Celine Dion & René Angélil participated on the gala. 

Artist for Peace - UNESCO (Quebec) 1999
On  September 11, 1999, Celine Dion gave a press conference at the Colisee in Quebec, at 3:00 pm. On the same day, she has been named Artist for Peace by the UNESCO, because of her dedication to help society's disadvantaged, defend family values and protect children. Celine Dion was the first Canadian to receive this title. Miss Ndeye Fall, representating the UNESCO in Canada, made an official announcement of this nomination.
