On December 16th, 1999, Celine Dion receives a special award at the Sony Music Awards in a 100 millionth record sale ceremony, in New York, USA.

TV Special Quebec 2003
On this Day in December 16th, 2003, Celine Dion taped the TV special "Les Plus Belles Voix Québécoises", at Mel's studios, in Montreal, Quebec. The show was  broadcasted on December 27 on the French channel France 2 and, on December 31 on TVA (entitled "La Soirée Exceptionnelle De La Franchophonie à Montréal"). This special lasted two hours. Besides Celine Dion, Garou, Daniel Lavoie, Natasha St-Pier et Marie-Elaine Thirbert took part there. Daniela Lumbroso and Julie Snyder 

Interview with Michel Drucker (Quebec) 2004
On December 16, 2004, Michel Drucker came to Montreal, at Celine Dion's home, to celebrate his 40-years career as well as their 20-years friendship.

Benefit for the 'Baptist Cardiac and Vascular Institute' (USA) 2011
On this day in December 16, 2011, Celine Dion performed a private benefit concert to help launch the Baptist Cardiac and Vascular Institute's $60 million dollar expansion campaign, to thank the Institute and the physicians who helped save her husband René's life. The audience of 1,700 enjoyed a reception before the concert, held at 7:30 pm at The Fillmore Miami Beach, Florida, at the Jackie Gleason Theater. The concert raised $6 million, including campaign-related contributions. Following the performance was a private dinner, where Celine Dion and Francois-Henry Bennahmias auctioned off an 18k white gold and baguette diamond Jules Audemars Chronograph Tourbillon watch.
