Celine Dion and Oscar

The 83rd Academy Awards, which took place on February 27, 2011, marked Celine's 7th performance on the Oscar stage. She sang Charlie Chaplin's "Smile” during the In Memoriam tribute, which honours distinguished members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences who passed away during the previous year. That evening, Celine said "It is always a great honour to be here. Performing a song at the Oscars is unforgettable.”

Through the years, Celine also performed "Beauty and the Beast" with Peabo Bryson (1992), "Because You Loved Me" and, as a last minute replacement for Barbra Streisand, the song “I Finally Found Someone” (1997), "My Heart Will Go On" (1998), "The Prayer" a duet with Andrea Bocelli (1999) and "I Knew I Loved You" an homage to famous Italian composer Ennio Morricone (2007).
