Celine Dion Hosts The Juno Awards for the 1st Time March 21,1993

(Juno Awards, O’Keefe Center, Toronto - March 21, 1993)
“I was excited by the idea of hosting the ceremony, and everything was going very well… until I learned I had to do it in English!”
In 1993 and for the first time in her career, Celine hosted the Juno Awards in celebration of the Canadian music industry. In addition to picking up 7 nominations, Celine opened the ceremony with ''Love Can Move Mountains'' alongside the Toronto-based choir Kaleefah.
Despite a high fever throughout the weekend rehearsals, Celine collected 4 Junos that evening:
Female Vocalist of the Year for the 3rd consecutive year
Best Selling Francophone Album for 'Dion Chante Plamondon'
Single of the Year for ''Beauty and the Beast ''with Peabo Bryson
Best Dance Recording for ''Love Can Move Mountains''
Celine’s voice, sense of humour and personality won the hearts of many spectators that evening.
