Thérèse Tanguay Dion receives a Medal of the Governor General of Canada and congratulations of Her daughter Celine Dion

Thérèse Tanguay Dion received Wednesday the Meritorious Service Medal from the Governor David Johnston  General of Canada for her volunteer work with children.

The woman 88 years old was awarded during a ceremony in Terrebonne, Le Mirage Golf Club, owned by Céline Dion and René Angélil. Taken in Las Vegas, where she will attend the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, the singer sent a strong message to her mother through his brother Michel Dion. The latter delivered the closing word of event: "Mom, this beautiful medal is an honor that reflects on our whole family. Our admiration for you grows every day, "wrote the star.
